The draft Law on Ratification of Agreement on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tadzhikistan was considered at the enlarged meeting of Senate’s Committee on International Relationships, Defense and Security, Bnews.kz reports.
The purpose of the agreement, signed in Dushanbe on September 14, 2015, is taking bilateral relationships to the level of strategic partnership.
The document provides the improvement of the mechanism of meetings at higher and high levels, regular exchange of views and approval of positions on bilateral relationships, actual international issues of mutual interest, the press-office of the Senate of RK parliament reports.
In accordance with the Agreement, the parties acknowledge the obligation to refrain from resort to force or threat of force, used against each other, to interact for strengthening peace and security on a global and regional scale, to coordinate their efforts on handling modern challenges and threats.
The agreement provides the expansion of cooperation in military, military and technical, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, civil security and energy.
