The Verkhovna Rada approved the Law on Privatization of State Properties №7066 in principle.
The decision was approved at the session of the Verknovna Rada on November 9, ET reports.
258 deputies voted “for”.
“3,500 state enterprises is an absolute non-sense. They generate losses for the state”, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman stated, encouraging deputies to vote for the draft law.
According to him, the public sector of enterprises is a large source of corruption in Ukraine.
According to Head of VR’s Committee for Economic Policy Andrei Ivanchuk, this draft law complies with all European standards, introduces new revolutionary approaches, which will ensure transparency of privatization in our country.
It should be reminded that the project implies regulation of privatization by one law instead of seven as per current legislation. One of novelties of this draft law is the companies from aggressor and offshore companies obtained the right to purchase Ukrainian state properties, though with limitations.
