Stock indexes turned higher

The German stock index (DAX) was up 1.26%;
Italy's stock index (FTSE MIB) was up 1.89%;
Spain's key stock index (IBEX) rose by 1.23%;
European stocks extended gains on Wednesday, as growing speculation that the European Central Bank could announce additional easing measures at its policy meeting on Thursday continued to support and as concerns over tensions in Ukraine eased.
