FBI unexpectedly published 129 pages of documents, related to investigation into the circumstances of the contradictory decision of US President Bill Clinton to pardon Financier and Sponsor of the Democratic Party Marc Rich in 2001, BBC reports. 

The investigation was completed in 2005. In the meantime, the documents were published at the moment, when there is only one week left until the US President elections, in which Bill Clinton’s wife Hilary will participate as the candidate from the Democratic party.

FBI explained the publication of documents with inquiries, which were repeatedly submitted to the bureau. The agency did not respond to repeated BBC inquiries to comment on the situation. 

Previously FBI Chief James Comey claimed that his agency found new electronic mails, which can be related to the use of personal mail servers by Hilary Clinton for internal correspondence during her time as US Secretary of State.

In response, Hilary claimed that she is confident in her rectitude. In her opinion, the examination of a new portion of e-mails, which FBI found, will not lead to initiation of criminal case against her.

Clinton also denounced the decision of the FBI Chief to report the public about the continuation of investigation of emails case, not establishing if the new evidence in the case against her are somehow relevant. She called this decision weird.

The similar FBI activities immediately before the elections evoked anger among other democrats. Leader of the Senate’s Democratic Faction Harry Reid even accused FBI Chief James Comey of the violation of law.

The support of other candidate – Republican Donald Trump – increased amid FBI actions.

According to public opinion surveys in the USA, the candidates currently obtained the support from approximately equal numbers of voters. According to ABC news survey, Trump established a lead over Clinton by almost 1 percent. Other surveys give leadership to Democrats.
