Seals will be optional for private entrepreneurs and sole traders
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes to allow business entities of private law (private entrepreneurs and sole traders) to apply seals on a voluntary basis, i.e. the use of seals will not be mandatory, according to the bill “On Amendments to Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the establishment of the principle of economic activities of the subjects of private law without the use of seals”, approved by the Cabinet 10 April 2013, reports the press service Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
The bill also proposes to stipulate the norm under which it is not necessary to confirm with the seal the authorized person’s signature; another proposal concerns a moratorium on obtaining any permits for the manufacture of seals. For this purpose the Commercial Code of Ukraine is proposed to be supplemented with a new Article 581, prohibiting to demand permits for the manufacture of seals.
